Tempeh strips marinated and grilled in a homemade BBQ sauce, served with French fries and coleslaw. Smoky, spicy taste, tender, juicy texture. Nothing less.
- 2 packages tempeh, 220 g each, cut into sticks
- 250 ml (1 cup) bottled barbecue sauce
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) maple syrup
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) water
- 45 ml (3 tablespoons) soy sauce
- 15 ml (1 tablespoon) Worcestershire sauce
- 15 ml (1 tablespoon) brown sugar
- 10 ml (2 teaspoons) mild smoked paprika
For the marinade :
- 5 ml (1 teaspoon) onion powder
- 5 ml (1 teaspoon) garlic powder
- 5 ml (1 teaspoon) chili powder
- 2.5 ml (1/2 teaspoon) ground black pepper
- 2.5 ml (1/2 teaspoon) liquid smoke (optional)
