portobello cheeseburgers
Grilled portobello mushrooms replace the meat patties, garnished with cheddar cheese, red onions, tomatoes, pickles and Boston lettuce. All topped with a homemade seasoned mayo.
- 4 large portobello mushrooms
- 15 ml (1 tablespoon) olive oil
- 15 ml (1 tablespoon) steak spices
- 1/2 small red onion, sliced into rings
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices yellow cheddar
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 dill pickle, sliced
- 4 Boston lettuce leaves
- 160 ml (2/3 cup) mayonnaise
- 45 ml (3 tablespoons) relish
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) shallot, chopped
- 20 ml (4 teaspoons) yellow mustard
- 5 ml (1 teaspoon) paprika
- 2.5 ml (1/2 teaspoon) garlic powder
