For the appetizer: shrimp skewers that are just right

Start your festive meal with a delicious seafood appetizer! These simple shrimp skewers could even become a summer favourite. You'll need wood skewers, frozen shrimp, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and the homemade marinade of your choice. To save time, you can also use pre-marinated shrimp available in store. Heat the grill on medium high. Once you've chopped the vegetables into large pieces and patted the shrimp dry, you can start assembling your brochettes. Once ready, coat with the marinade of your choice and then grill for 4 to 5 minutes on each side or until the shrimp have turned nice and pink. Serve and enjoy!

Lobster rolls are a delectable way to continue with the seafood theme. And best of all, they're in season! Start by preparing the filling. You'll need a generous amount of cooked lobster meat and pollock, a few leaves of lettuce (one per lobster roll), a few tablespoons of mayonnaise and mustard, some finely chopped chives, and a tablespoon of lemon juice. We recommend you combine all the ingredients and adjust the quantities and seasonings to taste. Then toast Irresistibles brioche buns in a toaster or pan. Add the lettuce, filling, and serve! For maximum savings, keep an eye on the flyer to take advantage of special offers.

Psst! Lobster rolls pair well with homemade or Selection frozen French fries.

This cut of beef is incredibly tender. It's also easy to prepare on the BBQ with steak spices or even cooked in a pan with a marinade. When it comes to sides, the options are nearly endless: potatoes (mashed, fries, roasted, etc.), veggies roasted on the grill or en papillote, salads, etc. Mother's Day also coincides with peak asparagus season which are incredibly easy to prepare! Start by heating the oven to 400 ℉ and trimming the asparagus. Spread them out on a baking sheet and add a drizzle of olive oil and a bit of maple syrup. Season with salt and pepper and bake until they are tender and slightly darkened. You can also add walnuts or pecans for extra flavour.
