A new kind of Chinese fondue
When it comes to Chinese fondue, or hot pot, it's all about the broth. You can always purchase a broth at the store, but a homemade version is equally easy to make. For instance, you can make a spicy broth that's brimming with flavour by adding fresh herbs such as cilantro, rosemary, or thyme. To make your fondue even more special, try new ingredients for dipping! Beef is always delicious, but you can also use tofu, shrimp, Halloumi cheese, and vegetables. Finally, don't be afraid to try new dipping sauces. There are several varieties available in store and you can also try making your own to save money.

Cheese fondue served in a pumpkin
Pumpkins aren't just for Halloween! To make this cheese fondue, you'll need a pumpkin or a turban squash, a bit of butter, an onion, and the cheese mixture of your choice. Super C has numerous cheese options that are ideal for fondue such as Selection Swiss or Irresistibles parmesan. Preheat the oven to 350 °F and empty the pumpkin but don?t get rid of the top. Rub butter on the inside of the pumpkin with a bit of seasoning (salt, pepper, nutmeg). Bake in the oven for 45 minutes. Meanwhile, sauté the chopped onion in a pan with some butter. Then add the cheese and stir until melted. Once the pumpkin is out of the oven, fill it with the cheese mixture and then back in the oven it goes. Bake for 20 minutes with its top on. Serve with pieces of bread, meat (cooked) such as bacon or pieces of steak, vegetables, apples, even pickles. Bon appétit!
Psst! If you're wondering what to do with the leftover pumpkin, you can keep the seeds for a snack or add them to a soup.
