Layer the dry ingredients you need for hot chocolate in a mason jar: marshmallows, cocoa powder, sugar, powdered milk, and chocolate chips. The recipient will only have to add hot milk, cream, or water. You can decorate your gift with a ribbon and add a label that lists the steps for preparing the hot chocolate.

In a glass jar combine 1 cup of white sugar, ½ cup of coconut oil, and a few drops of the essential oil of your choice (our favourite is lavender!). Decorate the jar with a ribbon and add a label listing the ingredients. Smooth skin guaranteed!

maple scented candle

Maple scented candle

Take an empty can of maple syrup and stick a candle wick in the bottom. Use the microwave to melt scraps of wax (an amount equivalent to twice the size of the can). Add 10 drops of maple syrup to the mixture. Pour it all into the can while holding the wick up. Let cool. You'll get a wonderful maple-scented candle and you'll be able to enjoy the aromas of a sugar shack at home!

easy potpourri

Easy potpourri

Cut thin slices of unpeeled apples and oranges and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle some cinnamon and a bit of nutmeg on the fruit and bake in the oven for 2 hours at 250°F. Keep an eye on the oven to make sure the fruit don't brown. You only want them to dry. Let cool. Add a few sticks of cinnamon then mix before placing in airtight Mason jars.
